"Seek and Ye Shall Find"

Jesus says, "if you seek me you will find me" These words have been proven true for thousands of year; those who have sought Him have found Him and in turn found peace, joy, happiness and eternal life.

Let's look at those words in a different context: In, this world today we are bombarded with images, media, people's thoughts and ideas, our comparison to others, our thoughts on someone else, our thoughts on something else.  You may not think about it along these lines, but you seek after the things that you allow to consume you.

This person does not like you and so you give space in your brain and heart to that thought. You allow it to ruminate in your spirit daily until it consumes you. This person is treating me unfairly, my boss does not know what a gem he has in me, what do people think about me? She thinks she is better than everyone else? How did he get with her? They don't appreciate me.

These thoughts, ideas we allow to float around with us and we magnify them to degrees that they should not be  magnified. It's time to begin to seek after the things that will bring life and joy, peace and hope, abundance and not lack. Magnification is the process of turning "a molehill into a mountain". We are all guilty of it and so use this verse to help you to seek the joy, hope, peace that you truly want. It's easy to blame everything on things, circumstances or others,  than to take a look at what we can do to change ourselves and our lot in life.

Philippians 4
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
