Victory, what characterizes yours? Kill? or be killed?....what to do!

It was dark, the cave was cramped and damp. Dark. Fear permeated the air. Fear of discovery and almost certain death. He knew the intentions of his enemy and so did those around him. The hounds of death had been after his life for a time now. There was a call that his enemy was near. They were about to search the very cave they were in. How would he escape, there was only one way in ans one way out. Shhhhh!, Silence! Quiet! - these were the thoughts now....oh the enemy is right next to me but he cannot see me. Those around him said, strike now! Strike swiftly! But alas, he just cut a piece of his enemy's cloak.

What would you done! This is always the most difficult thing to do, the most difficult position to find oneself in. They have not been satisfied with trying to destroy your character, your name, they want to take your life also. What do you do? you have the opportunity to finish them before they finish you. What to do?

I have seen so may disparaging comments about prayer lately than I have ever seen before in my lifetime. "We have to do more than pray?" "How would praying help you?".....You see prayer gives me the answer, of what to do, how to do it and when to do it? Action without prayer is self-driven and so many times leads to folly and hardship.

In that cave he prayed. He stopped and took a breath and God answered.
Vengeance is mine!!!! Be obedient to me and watch me work. Trust me with your life. Die to me. Do not let your fear rule your life. Trust me to care for you. You cannot take matters in to your own hands. Deal fairly! Mind your words! Don't let your feelings and frustrations guide you. I AM HERE!

That day David trusted God, he did not kill Saul. He was vindicated by God, made king.

Today, you are facing a situation and you are letting fear, anger, hurt, pain determine your steps. They will lead to destruction. Turn to Him, Creator, Sustainer, All Knowing, All Powerful God!

My Anchor Holds!

Joy and pain!

This morning I awoke with a pain, a searing scorching pain on my heart, so many tears in my eyes and my body racked with hurt. I was about to just lose it and to just give in to it and just grieve and my spirit whispered, pray!!. So I started to mouth words just pray, pray, pray.......As I sat to pray, I remembered a notification on my phone from a friend this morning, it was this verse!
I remember sending this verse to someone this week and they said to me, I believe that but what I am experiencing right now, can't be God's plans. How many times do we as believers feel this way, what does it drive us to. Sometimes retaliation to the person who wronged us, anger, excruciating pain......for me all of this in a situation perpetrated against me and my own. What do I do? I run to the rock. I know just like Hagar, He sees, He knows! But the pain lingers, it creeps it's way in every so often.
Can I tell you, spiritual war is no joke!  Joseph felt it in the pit! David daughter felt it at the hands of her brother! Bethsheba felt it at David's hands! There are so many.....I have felt it so many times in my life. It is worse when the harm is against your family.
But, I told a friend this week, what the devil meant for harm God will make good!!! In the front lines of a battle sometimes you lose some things but Blessed Be the Name of the Lord.
Pray for your brothers and sisters sitting next to you in the road of life. But pray especially for those in the forefront of the battle of good and evil. They really need your prayers. Don't be like Job's friends and His wife. How can we not take good and bad, if we trust in Him! By the end of this post, my spirit is renewed, filled and my mind is refreshed! My strength comes from the Lord! I pray for you today that this will be your truth. That you have the rock of God's love to hold on to in the midst of the storms.
This ship may be battered but the anchor holds!!! My anchor holds!

This verse came to light to me in the year 2000, my husband had been crushed between two cars. We thought he would never walk again, he was in the hospital for months on end. He had eighteen surgeries on one leg, not counting the other. The aftercare was intense because he was still on a wheelchair. Our little girl and I would trek to the hospital daily. I was studying the book of Job before and at the beginning of the accident, I had asked God to believe in me like He believed in Job. Little did I know what that would look like! After the accident our Thursday women's group was studying the book of James and this resonated in my heart. Joy, I was able to find.... There has been many things that have come sense that but my fall safe is to consider it joy! He gives me peace in the midst of the storms because I know who controls the winds. Persecuted but not abandoned! Let joy reign in your heart and you will have peace! His words are true! I can testify! I have tasted and it is good!

Do you bring Him Glory?

All things belong to Him.... My brothers and sisters, those of you that claim Him as Savior, do these words ring out to you? That in all things we are to bring Him glory. Do you spend each day determining in every moment to bring God glory. Sometimes we falter but He is always waiting, waiting to restore us. Where can you go, that God is not there? No, where! What can you do that God does not know? Nothing! What can you say that God cannot hear! Nothing.... He knows all!
When I was a little girl, my father was such a disciplinarian that when my sister and I did something that we were not supposed to do, everyone would say, wait till your dad comes, I am going to tell him. Remember, a few days ago, I spoke about fear. Well, can I tell you that filled me with fear. And you know what that fear produced? Lies... Somehow it was not translated that daddy brought love, even though I knew he loved us, I only saw discipline and do I bring afraid would lie and can I tell you, it did not make the situation better. I remember hearing the clink of the belt buckle as it hit the metal rod in the closet..... Oh my!  I was crying before he even returned!!
My relationship with God is not like that! I realized that I do not have to lie to Him, to others about anything... You see He orders our steps. He is God! So I strive to bring Him glory. His love transcends anything and everything. He is everything, creator, sustainer, deliverer, Father! Our desire should be to bring Him glory in all that we do!

Scandal.........Gossip, Talebearers, Slanderers, Secrets

One of the most successful shows on television today is SCANDAL......Think about it!! Most successful.

Image result for the latest scoop
Have you ever been hurt, when you found out people you love and who claim to love you, have been talking about you, when you are not around. Sharing your supposed wrong doing ( and I say supposed because they almost never come to you to ask about it); your actions, even your motives for doing something. Thoughts are made up by those in the presence of that conversation and you are judged by those things.
 I have!!
And I know you have been to?
And I have also been guilty?
But realizing when I am on the receiving end of it, how I feel destroyed by knowing this, I have sought, and asked God to help me to not practice in theses types of conversations. Speculations about someone's motives, actions or thoughts!! This one is hard, because our human nature does not want to examine ourselves, our faults; we want to murder another person because we believe that we are better, or we don't do that, have not done that! My flaws are not so noticeable, but man what they do?

Here are some :Step to be sure you are not involved in gossip:

Do not associate yourself with one who is a known gossip
When someone starts to gossip — change the subject
If you are not part of the problem or part of the solution, stay out of it
If you have fallen into the bad habit of gossiping — ask God to change your heart
When you have been the victim of gossip — confront the parties that spread the rumor

Finally here are some bible verses that speaks about this:
Leviticus 19:16 You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the LORD.
Proverbs 11:13 Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered.
Proverbs 20:19 Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with a simple babbler.
Proverbs 26:20-22 For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases.  As charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome man for kindling strife. The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body.
Jeremiah 6:28 They are all stubbornly rebellious, going about with slanders; they are bronze and iron;  all of them act corruptly.
Jeremiah 9:4 Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, or every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

Deceit, Backbiting, Busybodies, Malicious Gossips & Whisperers

Psalms 41:7 All who hate me whisper together about me; they imagine the worst for me.
Proverbs 25:23 The north wind brings forth rain, and a backbiting tongue, angry looks.
Romans 1:28-32 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
2 Corinthians 12:20 For I fear that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish—that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.
1 Timothy 3:9-11 Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things.
1 Timothy 5:13-14 Besides that, they learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not. So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy  heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
Titus 2:2-3 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good,

Changing the Default Settings

The Default Settings: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2

Pastor Rob – “all humans, babies are born and are hard wired with the default setting of sin! He reminded us do you have to teach children to say NO! – You have to teach them to say yes…

This default settings came because of the fall of man, because of Adam’s sin. Each of us and our children when we entered this world came with that default setting to do sinful things, things that go against God’s word, his glory. The sad thing is that most times we are so accepting of it and we feed it. As we feed it our children and we ourselves grow and we continue to say no to God’s way of doing things. We believe if we live a good moral life, that that’s ok; the reality is we can’t. The ugly always comes up. You see the ugly is easy, our default settings and our switches go there easily.

You say wow! Never really thought about it, what can be done!

The bible in the New Testament tells us to renew our minds and not be conformed to this world.

Prayer: acknowledge who God is. That he is the “I AM” and accepting Him as your savior (you see we all need a Saviour) that He was born, died, buried and rose again and is in heaven. “We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” ALL – of us need a Saviour

Teach: We are to teach our children who God is, what He has done, what He will do! "You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. "You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. "You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates….Deuteronomy 11:19-20

The bible says to “Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart” Our job is to train them, they may stray, you see the default settings that we all have, sometimes our switch gets stuck there for a minute but then the truth kicks in; if we have Jesus as our Saviour and we turn to Him, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

It’s easy to just accept the default settings, it’s really does not require such work; it’s already there and set up but this default setting can only bring death. Today is the acceptable time to change those settings.

Do You Really Love Me?

"So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My lambs." He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Shepherd My sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Tend My sheep.…" John 21:15-17

Jesus' conversation with Peter, about whether Peter loved him or not and then Jesus telling Peter what it would look like if He truly loved him. What it is he should be doing.

It is the same for us, Jesus says to us, Do you love me? and we say of course Lord, we love you. and He replies take care of my people.  Our actions must match our words. We go to a service or two on Sunday or Saturday and we sing praises to Him and then we leave and what? We go about our own business. When do we tend His sheep. Now, please understand this interchange was a confirmation of Peter's role in the church. He was being established as the "rock" on which Christ will built his church.

I think of the my relationship with my husband and we tell each other we love one another but if this is not backed up with some action then we begin to wonder, to falter in our belief of that love. Each night, when we are getting ready to turn in for the night, we would get water to put on our night tables. Many nights, I will go up and my glass is already poured, I did not ask him to do it, he just did. This may be small to some but, to me it shows he was thinking about me and was preempting my needs. His actions lined up with his words for me.

There are so many needs in our world, so many hurting, so many in need of a touch, of the truth of God's love and it is our place to "tend His sheep." This is not an easy mandate, but it was not meant to be. It is our job to obey His commands and to reach those that are lost!

Desire, Love, Intimacy - Relationship

As a wife, it has been hitting me more and more how much I love my husband. We are going into our twentieth year and I can truly say that our love has just grown more and more.

Reminder: Don't get me wrong, we are not perfect, our love did not begin in a perfect way but thanks to God,  "who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us". Thanks only to God who could take two unholy, unrighteous, needy, sinful beings and help us to be examples of his grace, his love; only to Him, our heavenly Father, be thanks given.

But, because of His work in us, our desire, love and intimacy has grown. I am not the same woman my husband met all those years ago and he is not the same, physically, emotionally etc. The first years of our marriage was so hard, we almost did not make it. We made so many mistakes and errors and we allowed pride and selfishness to rule and so we almost lost it. As a wife I tried to be a good wife but I was clueless, had no idea. I was wrestling my own demons, that I could not acknowledge or identify. My ability to love someone else was non-existent. Oh!, I thought I knew how to love but I did not.

You see, I had to come face to face with the one who is the creator of love. I cam face to face with him; after my last suicide attempt. I had been locked-up in the Rand Memorial Psych unit for my own protection. I came face to face with my Savior, my Lord. I had been given a tape player of verses by my then Pastor and one verse stood out to me in that horrify, crazy time. This verse reached out from that tape and grabbed me; "But He knows the way I take; When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold"...I had felt that I was in a constant fire. I held on to that, that I could "come forth as gold" It was not a glamorous thought, I just did not want to live a tortured life anymore, and so I clung.

That clinging, has given gold in so many ways, it is unexplainable. My relationship with my husband is only one of those areas. Our love seems fresh and new but we have been together over 20 years. "The Mystery" Every day is new. Sometimes we can think about calling the other one and the other one calls, its crazy. We are in sync. We are not filled with as much pride anymore, we are not as selfish as we were, we seek to meet the other's needs. We allow God laws and words to define our movements, thoughts and actions. I am in awe.

This is our marriage, an earthly thing, something still imperfect but, there is something so much greater, something that allows us to experience this. The Father's Love - He desires love and intimacy with us ; a true relationship!

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure,
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure.

Father Unknown

This may not be your reality but to some little girl or boy; this is how they see their birth record listed. Father: UNKNOWN...Let that really sink in for a while. Father: UNKNOWN

Ok, thought about it? Does it disturb you? Does it make you think? Does it propel you to action?

Why? why is the father unknown. Yes, I know there can be and are some situations where there has been violence, captivity, abuse; this post is not addressing those instances. We want to look at the situations where the two people made a decision to come together in a sexual connection. A delibrate act that ended in a pregnancy, a child.

Many times, these things happen in a vortex of hormones and no thought to tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. An act that takes a few minutes of intended pleasure and has serious consequences. Another person's life. How does a child feel where they see this record? What must they think of themselves?

In this life we have allowed our feelings to control our actions. We do what makes us feel good for the moment without ever thinking about the consequences. This is not what God intended for us. He is the example of a Father. He created us for a purpose greater than the sum total of our feelings. If we can just get to know Him, trust Him and love Him then we would not have this; 'Father: UNKNOWN"

He is our Father, Abba Father. His word says before our parents decided to commit this act He knew, before you were formed in your mother's womb He knew you, He knows the number of head on your head.  Today you may be searching for that Father. He is here! He is waiting. He says if any will open the door I will enter. Also there is nothing that can separate you from His love.

Today, you can fill that space on your birth certificate on your heart with: Jesus
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Multipliation and Love - What Do They Have In Common?

Older Women Teaching the Younger Women: Titus 2 or "Christian Feminist ...

As I look at this title today, I am thinking about what happens when we multiply two numbers together, we get bigger numbers; the correlation is the same; when we love the way Jesus loved us numbers increase. In today's society we have seen and heard often of the generational gap, of how we are losing the young people. Could it be that we have missed the boat, we have not loved and taught the way we should.

In a message by Dr. Rex Major, last week at  Grace Community Church, he challenged the congregation to look outward. He said that everyone has become with themselves and the problem of SELF- IDOLATRY is permeating our society. Think about that in mathematical terms; 1x1=1.

In the scriptures we are told to love one another and more specifically to women that w are to teach the younger women.  i have said this before and will continue to say it; the world has no problem teaching the youths, so we can sit by and let their thoughts, ideas, morals and agendas win or we can join the war and fight for our people.

One example I will give; in the life of my daughter for instance, there came a time in our relationship where she needed to hear that other women believed the same way I was and so I deliberately set out to place other older women in her life, who could mentor her and help. I knew these women and knew their beliefs. We did life together, so there was a trust level in place. One such woman was Erin. Erin, whom I love you so much. We met in her mid-twenties when she and her new husband Zawadi moved into our neighborhood. We spent alot of time together.

I helped her out as a new wife, to navigate the home, a husband and work. She in turn poured into my daughter. they would have Saturday dates and Audra knew I trusted Erin and so she felt free to talk to her about things that were happening in her life. In later years, I would share with Audra how I wanted other older women to speak into her life. That relationship with Erin and Zawadi multiplied and grew to numbers still unknown.

Another is Keema, we met at a crisis pregnancy center. She and her husband Tom were about to have their fourth child and were new to the area. We cared and loved them as our family. Today, as we speak, my daughter is with them and their five children doing life and they have taken her in and mentoring her, and in turn she is loving their five children. Another example of the multiplication by love in action.

Look at your life and see if you can identify the examples of multiplication by love; I know of other peoples' stories but don't have permission to share them and so I shared mine. Their are people who need us to really out and touch them, to love them, to mentor them.
How many people are you mentoring today?  In the words of my spiritual father; Selah! Think and Act on these things

The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Matthew 13: 24-30

24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."

Today, it is evident, if it has not been evident, before now, that there are many tares among the wheat; they are there to destroy and are placed strategically. The issues that are arising in this day and time are showing clearly who will stand firmly in the truth of God and who will not. Remember He said I have come to set father against son...." because it is not easy to do the will of God completely. Narrow is the way to Christ and few will enter there. There is a saying, many use; "he is too heavenly minded to be any earthly good", noting that this person is of no use to those around him. Well, let's turn that around, "too many today are "too earthly minded that they are not heavenly good." We live here but this is not our home.

God's desire is that none will perish but it is their choice ultimately. Be careful that you don't allow those around you to influence you to fight for the earthly rights of others to do what they feel is right in their hearts, but lead to eternal damnation.  The countries of the world are making choices that go against what Christ taught and we have to make a choice. Persecution has come but it does not look the same as in the East. It is among us, living, breathing, working, playing with us to turn our hearts from the one true God. The evidences of it in the media, social media profiles, statuses, the arguments; its all so evident. Open your eyes focus and see what is true.

And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should[a] heal them.’[b]
16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; 17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

It's So Simple - A No Brain-er Really!!

I have gotten the question why do you have to be so radical in your faith, why does everything have to be about Jesus? I have been called a "holy-joe" by those closest to me when they were not saved. Many people don't understand me and my husbands standards for living and the choices we have made, are making and will continue to make for the sake of spreading His name. To me it is the simplest thing ever.

My husband is a "nut" for those television shows like "Extreme Make-Over," "The Briefcase," "Undercover Boss", you get the idea. They, the producers find someone who they think is worthy and deserving of immense gifts and they do just that, they give them more than they could have imagined. One scenario, a mother, with four children, lost her husband to some rare disease. While taking care of her children and trying make ends meet, she works at the soup kitchen providing meals for others, her churches events are spearheaded by her, she is a virtual saint and deserving of all she receives. And thank God receives the help from the show, and its affiliates. She now trumps the greatness, love and help of that show and those people, she is forever indebted to them and her children also know that they too should express that love for the people who intervene. I concur!!

However, but to the original question why is everything Jesus, Jesus!!
Because unlike the lady in the scenario above I am undeserving, I a murderer, a liar, adulterer,a sinner did not and still does not deserve the gift that He freely choose to give for me. How do I hold back my earthly desires, my money (the little I have), my love, my time, my energy, my thoughts for the one who took my sin on Himself, died for me? How?
You see it is really simple there is no one else in this world who has done for me what He has done. The thing is He was not finished, He has given me eternal life with Him and He walks with me everyday.

So, you see, it is simple; when I say "to whom much is given, much is required." And when we think of required we think obligatory, but no, it is a choice to love. to love the one who loved me so much, you me, a no one, a dirt rag and give me the greatest gift ever.

My prayer for you is that you who know Him may acknowledge Him in a way that everyone knows where you stand. For those who don't know Him, to give it all to Jesus. Its not about rules, its all about relationship, He accepts you just as you are. Ask Him to forgive you, that you trust Him, that you believe that He died on the cross for your sins, that you are a sinner and you want His grace; that you believe He rose again and is in heaven with the Father. You see that too is simple. Begin reading your bible, the book of John is good.

If you need help with any of this call me, I will help you!!!

"Seek and Ye Shall Find"

Jesus says, "if you seek me you will find me" These words have been proven true for thousands of year; those who have sought Him have found Him and in turn found peace, joy, happiness and eternal life.

Let's look at those words in a different context: In, this world today we are bombarded with images, media, people's thoughts and ideas, our comparison to others, our thoughts on someone else, our thoughts on something else.  You may not think about it along these lines, but you seek after the things that you allow to consume you.

This person does not like you and so you give space in your brain and heart to that thought. You allow it to ruminate in your spirit daily until it consumes you. This person is treating me unfairly, my boss does not know what a gem he has in me, what do people think about me? She thinks she is better than everyone else? How did he get with her? They don't appreciate me.

These thoughts, ideas we allow to float around with us and we magnify them to degrees that they should not be  magnified. It's time to begin to seek after the things that will bring life and joy, peace and hope, abundance and not lack. Magnification is the process of turning "a molehill into a mountain". We are all guilty of it and so use this verse to help you to seek the joy, hope, peace that you truly want. It's easy to blame everything on things, circumstances or others,  than to take a look at what we can do to change ourselves and our lot in life.

Philippians 4
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

They Say It's Racial Hate, Anger, Drugs - He says it is "Sin"

Solomon said it is Ecclesiastes, there is nothing new under the sun, what has been, has been dome before. The news today can be disheartening; Nine people killed at a church Bible Study in Charleston, SC, ISIS killing and abuse of Christians, murder rate in the small country of the Bahamas, a young woman killed and a man losing one leg; (the driver after an altercation takes his car and rams them and keeps pushing the gas), the number of gambling establishments rampant in the Bahamas, abortions unreported in the Bahamas, unwed pregnancy at 70% in the Bahamas, churches on almost every corner in the Bahamas, marriages on the rocks in the Bahamas, condoms and birth control are the solution to our sexual immorality, young people searching and not finding......

We can put so many names to all of these things but the only name is "Sin". We have allowed the devil to run rampant; we have sat back and built our little earthly kingdoms that will waste away and let the roaring lion loose.  We have seen things and turned a blind eye, saying that it is none of my business. We have believed the world lies that to gain wealth and power will make us happy. We have so wanted to make our children's lives better than ours that we have sold them down the eternal road of slavery to the world's system.

AND NOW.....we cry! The good news is that it is not to late. The TRUTH is still free. The Answer has been there since the beginning and there is still time to accept the truth that Jesus died for. It is still time for the remnant to stand up and be counted. You see one day, every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that He is lord because He is. "All have fallen short of the glory of God", all of us, me being one of the chief sinners, but, I know the way of truth and life! I have seen His hand and will not turn back. I am in the race, the battle.  Are You!

"Every jot and tittle will be judged" ...that means every word we say, our thoughts, our  actions. Believers rise up, the time has come for us to be counted. To begin to turn back to the one true love. To love like no one's business. Jesus says the greatest commandment is love. How can we demonstrate this love to the world that they will want our Jesus. I am planted right here in the Bahamas and so my work is here; to share the gospel, to share His love, to reach the lost for Him and for their own sake, that they will not see eternal damnation. Through love I will pray for my brothers and sisters, fellow human beings here in the Bahamas and around the world; that they will come to Him.

Let's call it what it is, in order that we might bring about a change. The foundation is shaken and there is only one way to shore it up.......

Proverbs 14
There is a way which seems right to a man,But its end is the way of death. Even in laughter the heart may be in pain,And the end of joy may be grief. The backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways,But a good man will be satisfied with his.
The naive believes everything,But the sensible man considers his steps. A wise man is cautious and turns away from evil,But a fool is arrogant and careless. A quick-tempered man acts foolishly,And a man of evil devices is hated.
The naive inherit foolishness,But the sensible are crowned with knowledge. The evil will bow down before the good,And the wicked at the gates of the righteous. The poor is hated even by his neighbor,But those who love the rich are many. He who despises his neighbor sins,But happy is he who is gracious to the poor. Will they not go astray who devise evil? But kindness and truth will be to those who devise good.
In all labor there is profit,But mere talk leads only to poverty. The crown of the wise is their riches,But the folly of fools is foolishness. A truthful witness saves lives,But he who utters lies is treacherous.
In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence,And his children will have refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,That one may avoid the snares of death. In a multitude of people is a king’s glory,But in the dearth of people is a prince’s ruin. He who is slow to anger has great understanding,But he who is quick-tempered exalts folly. A tranquil heart is life to the body,But passion is rottenness to the bones. He who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker,But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him. The wicked is thrust down by his wrongdoing,But the righteous has a refuge when he dies. Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding,But in the hearts of fools it is made known.Righteousness exalts a nation,But sin is a disgrace to any people. The king’s favor is toward a servant who acts wisely,But his anger is toward him who acts shamefully.
